Russia called the most dangerous country for air travel

According to the London consulting company Ascend, Russia is recognized as the most dangerous country for air passengers. On the danger of flights, Russia ahead of Congo and Indonesia, reports the ATOR website.

The Wall Street Journal calculated the number of plane crashes, according to the publication, the West managed to reduce them due to intolerance to transport safety issues – both at its own carriers and abroad. Experts believe that the weakness of the system, in which countries monitor only the situation at home, is that it is not able to change the situation on local airlines in countries with poor control over flight safety.

Improving the quality of Russian air transport began in 2006. Then, after a series of disasters, the level of security in such large airlines as Aeroflot and Transaero was increased. After that, until about 2009, there were no casualties. This year, there were 9 plane crashes in our country. In one of the aircraft crashed the entire composition of the hockey team “Locomativ”.

Analysts also note that Russian regulations are less stringent than international ones followed by air carriers flying abroad. Falsifications and the use of counterfeit parts are widespread. The same problems, however, are faced in Africa and South-East Asia. Russia should learn from countries like Nigeria. Six years ago, this large African country was one of the last countries in terms of passenger safety. However, in recent years, it has managed to significantly improve the sad statistics in this industry.
