Growth of tourist flow from Russia to Montenegro - more than 60%

In 2011, about 244.9 thousand Russian tourists visited Montenegro, which is 63% more than a year earlier. The popularity of recreation in this country has been steadily growing over the past few years: in 2008, 117.9 thousand Russians came here, in 2009 - 145.5 thousand, in 2010 - 150.2 thousand.

In 2011, our travelers spent 1.79 million nights in Montenegro (an average of 7.3 nights per tourist), which is 47% more than in 2010. Last year, the country received 1.201 million foreign visitors, which is 10.5% more than in 2010. Most tourists came from neighboring Serbia - 299.6 thousand people.

In 2010, the total revenues of Montenegro from tourism amounted to 15.7% of GDP, in 2011 - already over 17%. In the next 10 years, they are projected to exceed a third of gross domestic product – 36%. The country will continue to promote itself as a unique tourist destination.
