Rosturizm listed in-demand destinations for motorists
According to Rosturizm, automobile tourism is one of the most popular types of recreation in our country, which became even more popular during the coronavirus pandemic in 2020.
VTSIOM interviewed our compatriots about plans for summer holidays in 2022.
" 24% of respondents prefer to travel by car <...> one in three travels by car in Russia, and because of the pandemic, this type of travel finally took shape in a big trend in 2020. The majority of motorists (76%) go on a trip to relax in glamping on the territory of the nature reserve, excursion and educational trips (75%) and gastronomic tours (74%) are also in demand. At the same time, tourists like to drive on well-known routes (81%) and learn new ways and look for unusual routes (68%).
Popular destinations for road trips were the Golden Ring, Moscow – St. Petersburg, routes from the capitals to the Black Sea coast of Russia.
Active young people (18-24 years old) like to travel by car, and families with children who choose active rest - it is important for them to move at their own speed.
Interesting routes are offered in Karelia, the Kola Peninsula, the Crimea, the North Caucasus, Siberia, the Urals and other regions of our country.
