Rosturizm predicts an increase in the number of tourists inside Russia
More than 31 million tourists will have the opportunity to relax in Russia from May to September 2022.
Zarina Doguzova, head of the Federal Agency for Tourism (Rostourism), noted: "...in this high holiday season from May to September, more than 31 million tourists will rest in the country." This is if you take only classified accommodation facilities. This is plus 20% compared to last year’s figures.”
17.5 thousand hotels and 10 thousand sanatoriums, campsites and other accommodation facilities that are not subject to classification will be able to take Russians in the holiday season.
Rosturizm is working on the expansion of regular transportation and on the launch of charters. This is necessary for the implementation by tour operators of the amount of accumulated obligations.
