Bali authorities are preparing for hotels discounts up to 50%

To increase the number of tourists, Bali hotels are going to reduce prices for the New Year. Minister of Tourism Arif Yahya promises that the discounts will reach 50%. Experts of the Russian tourist market say that discounts are less, but in general, the host party wants to financially interest travelers - removes New Year markups, payment for a holiday dinner, etc.

The information wave around the eruption of the volcano still affects demand - it is reduced, but in general the situation has normalized, including for air travel.

"In order to increase the number of tourists arriving at the end of the holiday season, tourists visiting Bali will be offered discounts of up to 50 percent," tourism minister Arif Yahya said. According to the official, the discount policy should increase the number of travelers arriving in Bali, especially during the New Year, after the crisis, which was triggered by the threat of an eruption of the Agung volcano. To support the program, the government has allocated 100 billion Indonesian rupees (approximately $7 million) to boost the promotion of the tourism industry in Bali in general.

The Russian ministry said the conversation concerns a more “voluntary call” by the ministry for hotels to guarantee travelers appropriate discounts. There is information that some hotels responded to the call with full readiness, this is also confirmed by tour operators.
