Russian Railways holds a short-term action with discounts on trains in the southern direction
Russian Railways will start a short discount on July 4-6. On the upper shelves of compartment cars of individual trains of the southern direction tickets are sold at reduced rates.
The discount is stated at 50%, but it will not be, as the upper shelves are always sold much cheaper than the lower shelves in the same cars. The benefits of the stock will not be very large.
Passengers need to check the prices of the upper shelves before the start of the promotion, that is, on Monday 3 June and then compare them with the promotional fares on June 4 (it should be borne in mind that the discount may appear not at midnight, but at any time before 11.00). The action is valid for some train lines in Sochi (Adler), Anapa and Novorossiysk in both directions (the list is on the website of Russian Railways), does not apply to most fast trains that go to the coast.
It is possible that the promotion only applies to the full specified route, not to a trip between intermediate stations. It is possible to purchase a ticket on the full route, and use it partially.
