From April 1, there are new rules for accommodation in hotels
From April 1, Russians can come to hotels without obtaining a passport – enough driver’s license, biometrics or mobile application “State Services”. The experiment will run until March 2032 and will make hotel services more convenient and safer.
The children made the procedure even easier:
- up to 14 years - birth certificate + documents of parents (or accompanying with a notarial power of attorney);
- 14-18 years - your passport, response in the "State Services" or biometrics, but with the notarial consent of parents.
The innovation will reduce the number of disputes at the reception and increase confidence in the industry.
For foreigners, the rules do not change:
- occupancy only with a passport or other recognized document;
- mandatory notification of migration authorities.
Foreign minors are still accommodated with their parents, guardians or accompanying persons, subject to consent, and no additional restrictions are imposed.
