From 2022, 52 Russian cities will receive subsidies for the reconstruction of historical centers
The program is implemented within the framework of the national project "Tourism and hospitality industry".
From 2022, the Russian government will allocate subsidies to the regions for the creation of tourist infrastructure in the historical centers of cities, their average size is -250 million rubles.
The press service of the Cabinet informs: “Applicants for the subsidy should prepare a draft of the so-called tourist code of the city center – a single space with attractions, pedestrian zones, fairs, photo zones and observation platforms, a modern navigation system and infrastructure for people with disabilities.”
Projects developed for cities with a population of 5 thousand to 2 million people are accepted for consideration. The project should cover an area of up to 100 hectares. The winners of the competition will be determined by Rostourism. The average subsidy for each project will be about 250 million rubles.
“It is planned that with the help of federal funds by 2025, a single attractive cultural and historical space will be created in 52 cities of Russia,” the press service of the government said.
