Analytical Agency Turstat has prepared the top of the most popular places for mystical tourism in Russia.
According to experts, mystical tourism is a trip to places where spirits, ghosts and other mysterious creatures can live. The top locations are based on the study of popular places and reviews of tourists that were found on the Internet.
Ten mystical places of Russia, which are popular with travelers, included Cape Fiolent near Sevastopol and the Kachi-Kalion mountain monastery near Bakhchisarai in the Crimea, Olkhon Island on Baikal in the Irkutsk region, Lake Svetloyar in the Nizhny Novgorod region, the mystical country of Belovodye and Altai mountain Belukha, Lake Botomless in the Moscow region, the ancient city of Arkaim in the Chelyabinsk region, Ivolginsky datsan (Buryatia) and the mountain range of Sunduki (Khassia).
According to analysts, travelers come to mystical places of Russia as a rule for a one-day excursion.
