San Marino invites foreigners for vaccine tourism

San Marino is the first country in the world to launch vaccine tourism.

Since May 17, San Marino has been inviting foreigners to receive two paid doses of the Russian vaccine Sputnik V. The vaccination program will be available to all tourists except Italians.

San Marino is a dwarf state outside the EU, an enclave country surrounded on all sides by Italy.

The country will also cooperate with Italy through vaccine tourism, but will only be vaccinated with drugs that Rome considers safe, and the Italian authorities do not yet recognize Sputnik as safe.

You can get vaccinated in San Marino if you book a room in a local hotel at least a week in advance.
