Saudi Arabia begins issuing tourist visas: life hack on receipt

Russia is among the 49 countries that Saudi Arabia provides tourist visas. Citizens of these countries can apply for electronic visas and visas on arrival.

Applications for e-visas to Saudi Arabia will be submitted at visitaudi, the country’s embassies and consulates.

Documents will be required:

Passport valid for more than 6 months at the time of entry into Saudi Arabia
Address of residence
Passport valid for more than 6 months at the time of entry into Saudi Arabia
Proof of accommodation
Return ticket
Proof of employment

It will take 5-30 minutes to issue an electronic visa, and 1-2 working days at the consulate. The tourist visa will be valid for one year.

The cost of applying for an e-visa or visa on arrival is 440 rials ($117) and VAT.

Raid bin Khalid Krimley, the kingdom's ambassador to Russia, said foreign women would be able to visit Saudi Arabia without restrictions.

Women can apply for a visa from the age of 18. According to Crimley, those who have not yet reached this age can enter the Kingdom with adults.

According to the ambassador, there will be no restrictions on the issuance of visas to Saudi Arabia for Russians. Riyadh expects a large flow of tourists from Russia after the launch of the new visa system, and the aviation authorities of the states have prepared documents for direct flights between the countries.
