Traveling to Italy is getting easier
In St. Petersburg, the consulate of Italy decided to simplify the issuance of visas to those who have at least one Schengen visa in their passport. This decision was made within the framework of the Year of Tourism "Italy-Russia 2013/2014". If a traveler has one Schengen visa, he will be able to get an annual visa to Italy, if two – two-year.
At the Moscow consulate, you can also get a visa for active travelers – the embassy can issue them a multiple-entry visa on their first visit to Italy.
Previously, a multiple-entry visa could only be obtained if a person has visited Italy in the past 2 years. You can visit any Schengen country (and this is almost all of Europe) and get a multiple-entry long-term visa to Italy.
Documents that need to be submitted to the consulate, standard for obtaining a Schengen visa, you can see their list on official websites.
