Hotel chef on tropical islands looking for best borscht recipe
The chef of the hotel complex Angsana Velavaru (Maldives) announced a competition for the best recipe for borscht for dinner on New Year's Eve.
The winner will be able to live in a hotel for free for two days. According to the hotel, a Russian-style dinner is scheduled for Orthodox Christmas on January 6 at the 5-star Angsana Velavaru Hotel on Turtle Island. The menu will feature dishes from the national cuisine of Russia, and the main hit should be borscht.
To participate in the competition for the best recipe, you need to send a branded recipe to: borsch2019@gmail.com until December 20, 2019. An expert jury of chefs of the hotel will analyze the materials, prepare soups and as a result of blind testing will choose the best. The winner’s name will be announced on the hotel’s Facebook page until December 30, 2018.
The Angsana Velavaru Hotel is located on Velavaru Island, a luxury private villa with its own swimming pool by the beach or on the water. On the Trip Advisor review portal, guests praise menus at local restaurants. One of them says, “The Mexican chef surprised every dinner with his masterpieces.” Be sure to try coconut soup!
