Siesta in Bulgaria
The Labor Inspectorate of Bulgaria has put forward a proposal to introduce a four-hour siesta while the severe heat persists in the country. In southern Bulgaria, many establishments and shops close their doors in the middle of the day, when the temperature outside the window reaches +40 degrees Celsius. The proposal of the head of the Bulgarian Labor Inspectorate Mikhailova Rumyana states that during the heat, workers should start the working day earlier than usual, at 5.00 or 6.00, and finish at 14.00. There is another option: to work from 6.00 to 11.00, and then from 17.00 to 20.00. I think that not all Bulgarians would be happy with the new routine, but nevertheless, the heat in Bulgaria is already a whole week, even the water temperature in the Black Sea has reached a maximum of 31 degrees.
