How much are Russians willing to spend on food on trips?

Most Russians consider it important to try local cuisine during a trip abroad and are ready to spend money on delicacies. This information follows from the survey service momondo.

The majority of respondents (52%) say that they are not bothered by food expenses when traveling. 25% of respondents are ready to spend 500-1000 rubles per person per day, 32% - from 1 thousand to 2 thousand rubles per day, 18% - from 2 thousand to 4 thousand rubles, and more than this range - every twentieth.

80% of respondents believe that food helps to immerse themselves in culture as well as works of art. 42% of tourists study local cuisine before a trip, and for 16%, original taste preferences are the main motivator of the trip.

However, Russians rarely eat in cafes. 10% of Russians go to such establishments daily, and 41% – several times on a trip.

When choosing a restaurant, 83% of Russians are guided by recommendations on the Internet, 40% trust thematic sites, 30% read social networks, 13% read blogs. 53% trust the advice of local residents and guides, and 48% trust the opinion of friends.
