How many foreigners remained in Russia after the 2018 World Cup?
RIA Novosti, referring to the deputy head of the migration department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation A. Krayushkin, reports that 5.5 thousand foreign fans did not leave Russia after the 2018 World Cup.
A. Krayushkin said that by December 31, 2018, there were more than 12,000 fans in Russia illegally remaining in the Russian Federation. He expects to be expelled from the country by March 30.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs clarifies that the search and expulsion of foreign fans from Russia continues. According to representatives of the Ministry, foreigners who did not leave within the specified deadlines will be brought to administrative responsibility.
