How many Russians take the weekend between holidays to travel?

OneTwoTrip conducted a survey and found that 28% of respondents plan to take an extra weekend between the May holidays for travel.

The survey was conducted online, it involved 379 Russians of different ages and genders.

41 percent of respondents do not plan to take an extra weekend to travel for a May holiday. 28% want to take a weekend between holidays, another 17% will rest before or after holidays. Only 14% of respondents have not yet decided on plans for a holiday in May, analysts said.

Among those who take extra days off, half will take advantage of paid leave (42%), and one in five additional days will not be issued due to flexible work schedules. 12% take vacation at their own expense, every tenth spends time off or negotiates with the management, 5% chose the answer “other”.

Thanks to the postponement of the winter weekend to May this year, Russians have time to fly or leave the city twice: 4-5 days is a comfortable period for traveling even abroad. During this time, it is possible to have time to explore the city or “reboot” on the beach, – said the representative of the company.

Why don’t respondents take extra days off? 33% of respondents can not afford a vacation in May because of work. 32% plan to go on a short trip and believe that the existing weekend will be enough, 17% have no financial opportunity, 10% have a lot of business in the city. Another 10% expect to spend the beginning of May in the country, 8% of respondents do not want to go anywhere, 4% do not leave because children have to go to school, 4% give other reasons.
