How many tourists are waiting for Crimea in 2025?
Crimea I am ready to receive 7 million tourists this year, while the Crimean resorts are safe for recreation, said the head of the Crimean Parliament Vladimir Konstantinov in an interview with RIA Novosti at SPIEF.
If this year we are able to exceed the seven million tourists mark, it will be an incredible success, especially given the lack of flights. We are very much counting on it and fully ready, he said.
According to Konstantinov, Crimean resorts provide safety for rest and recovery.
Air traffic with Crimea was suspended for security reasons after the start of a special military operation in Ukraine in February 2022.
By the end of 2024, the tourist flow to the region exceeded 6 million people. In 2023, Crimea received 5.2 million tourists, and in 2022 - 6.5 million tourists.
In 2021, the peninsula was visited by 9.5 million tourists, which was a record in the entire post-Soviet history. For comparison, in 2019, the tourist flow amounted to 7.4 million people.
