Deputy head of Rostourism Elena Lysenkova said that in April the first cruise ships on the Black and Mediterranean seas will depart from the city.
“The entire team, taking into account all international standards of service and quality, will still work on a Russian base and all the money that will be received will be the income of the Russian economy and Russian enterprises.”
The development of cruises in Sochi will create new jobs and stimulate related industries.
President of the National Union of Hospitality Industry (OSIG) Alexei Volkov is sure that the launch of the Russian airliner is a great opportunity for development for tourism: “A cruise liner is not just five stars on the water, but it is a completely different quality of service, different working conditions and the possibility of traveling to several countries and ports at the same time, which we have all been waiting for.”
The cruise program in April will open comfortable liner "Astoria Grande", designed for 1.4 thousand passengers. Route: Istanbul, Çanakkale, Cesme, Alexandria, Bodrum, Kusadasi, Trabzon and other Mediterranean ports. The cruise duration is 14 nights. The cost of a cabin without a window in low season per person - from 1.3 thousand euros.
