Sochi: Opening of Ecological Hotels
Ecological hotels and the rules by which they will work are planned to be created in Sochi in 2022.
Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Tourism and Development of Tourist Infrastructure Sergey Krivonosov believes that now in Russia there are no special standards regulating the functionality of such accommodation facilities.
“We are currently working on a committee bill on eco-glamping hotels. Because now it is an extralegal field, although it is a very popular type of accommodation. We are also considering the establishment of such eco-hotels in Sochi in the coming year.”
The Committee is actively discussing the adoption of common rules for Russian eco-hotels. “We are going to work on the issue of GOSTs, conceptual apparatus, what are glamping, eco-hotels and where they can be placed.”
The project of creating glampings in the green space will be discussed with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology.
