Reduced the period of one-time stay of Russian citizens in Turkey

According to the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Istanbul, from January 1, 2012, the period of one-time stay of Russian citizens in Turkey is no more than 30 days. The previously established procedure, which provided for the possibility of a one-time stay in Turkey for 60 days, has been canceled.

The period of stay in Turkey can be extended. To do this, in advance of the expiration of the permitted period of stay in Turkey, you must contact the Yabancilar Sube Mudurlugu at the place of residence and obtain a residence permit, which will allow you to stay in Turkey for up to 90 days at a time.

The number of visa-free entries for up to 30 days is not limited, but the total stay in the country can not exceed 90 days in a 180-day period.

The Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Istanbul draws the attention of Russian citizens to the need to closely monitor the number of days spent in Turkey, since late departure from the country can lead to a fine and a ban on entry for up to 5 years.
