Statue of Liberty to be closed for a year

The Statue of Liberty will be 125 years old this year. And the day after her birthday, October 29, she will be closed for repairs. Of course, Liberty Island will remain open, you can't just get inside the Lady Liberty.

The statue is planned to be made as safe as possible, elevators and stairs will be repaired. The cost of repairing the 93-meter statue is $27.25 million.
