The cost of tours may grow by 20% due to the departure of VIM-Avia
Due to the departure of the air carrier VIM-Avia, prices for vouchers to the most popular destinations can increase by 20%. Basically, we are talking about Turkey, Greece, Cyprus and domestic resorts.
The point is that the cost of flights on VIM-Avia flights was much cheaper than that of other carriers. For example, the average price of a ticket from Moscow to Antalya is 250 USD, and VIM-Avia sold them for 50-70 USD cheaper. VIM-Avia owned about 15% of the charter market, which is quite a lot for one carrier.
Tour operators no longer cooperate with VIM-Avia, so the cost of tickets to the most popular destinations will increase. According to market experts, only two tour operators can stop this process, which in the summer of 2018 will begin their own transportation: STC Intourist and TUI.
