Test & Go: the Russian Embassy in Thailand explained the rules of entry of Russians
Since February 1, the Thai authorities have allowed foreign tourists from all countries to enter the country under the Test & Go program.
The Russian Embassy in the Kingdom explained the procedure for the entry of Russians under the new rules: “On the online platform Thailand Pass opened registration for entry into Thailand under the Test & Go program for fully vaccinated, including the Sputnik V vaccine foreign citizens.”
Tourists over the age of 18 need a full vaccination certificate in English no later than 14 days before entering Thailand. It also requires a negative PCR test not earlier than 72 hours before departure to Thailand.
Children 12-17 years old who enter unaccompanied by a parent or representative must present a certificate of vaccination in English with at least one dose of the drug taken not earlier than 14 days before the entry. When traveling with parents, a negative PCR test is required, and a certificate is not required.
Children ages 6 to 11 need a negative PCR test.
"The entry of citizens who have had a coronavirus infection is allowed subject to the availability of a certificate of vaccination with one dose of the drug carried out after the illness, and a medical certificate of the disease," the embassy said.
The Test&Go program is effective from November 1, 2021 for tourists from 63 countries. Since February 1, the Kingdom has allowed all foreigners to enter the country.
You must register on the Thailand Pass platform no earlier than 60 days before the planned date of arrival in Thailand. Then submit a 2 night prepaid reservation confirmation at SHA Extra Plus (SHA++), AQ, OQ or AHQ hotels for Days 1 and 5 and two paid PCR tests to be conducted on Days 1 and 5 respectively.
The first booking of at least one night at the hotel must include hotel accommodation, PCR testing and certified transfer from the airport to the hotel.
Earlier, the Association of Tour Operators (ATOR) reported that it is still more convenient for Russians to use the Phuket Sandbox program to enter Thailand, through which they can enter from September 1, 2021, since the approval of the Sputnik V vaccine by the authorities of the kingdom. According to tour operators, the rules of this program are better worked out.
