Three attacks on cultural monuments in Rome
Three cultural monuments were attacked in Rome over the weekend.
The statue on Piazza Navona was the first to suffer: an unknown man split two parts from it. A little later, a stone was launched towards the Trevi Fountain. An American student tried to break some pieces of marble from the wall of the Colosseum to take home as a souvenir.
An investigation is now under way. The first two crimes were committed by one person.
