Turkish hotels have reduced prices due to the outflow of Russians

The Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) reported that Turkish hotels have reduced prices for vacations for Russians after a shortage of a significant part of customers.

After a successful 2018, the hotels of the republic sharply raised prices for 2019, and the load of the Antalya coast was from 70 to 90%. In this regard, hotels in almost all resorts in Turkey now offer discounts, hoping for last-minute bookings.

Turkey remains the most attractive country for Russians this year. Travel to the republic accounts for 44% of sales. Due to high prices, the demand for vacations in the country in July and August falls, but May and June for Turkish hoteliers became “golden”. The same demand is expected in September and October.

For the five months of 2019, almost 1.7 million Russians visited Turkey, 20.5% more than in the same period of 2018. More than six million Russians are expected to arrive in the country this year.

In May, specialists of the travel service Tutu formed a rating of the most popular summer destinations in 2019 among Russians. The top three included Turkey, Tunisia and destinations within Russia.
