Tourist flow to Kazan in 2021 reached pre-pandemic level

The average occupancy of hotels in 2021 was 60%, the largest percentage of average monthly occupancy – from 83 to 86% – fell in the summer months.
Most tourists came from Moscow and St. Petersburg, Samara, Ufa, Cheboksary, Yekaterinburg and Nizhny Novgorod.
Foreign tourists most often came from Turkey, Egypt, Kazakhstan, China, India and Ukraine. The number of visitors from Egypt increased by 149%.
Traditional points of attraction of tourists in Kazan are the Kremlin, Bauman pedestrian street, Staro-Tatar Sloboda, Kremlin embankment, Kazan Riviera water park and museums.
The new “magnets” for travelers recently included the newly erected Cathedral of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, the extreme park “Uram” and the multimedia center “Soyuzmultpark”.
