Russian tourists become victims of e-cigarette ban in Thailand

The Embassy of the Russian Federation in Thailand on the official Facebook page warns tourists about the punishment for using electronic cigarettes.

A few days ago, a couple of travelers from Tula came on vacation on tours of the Biblio Globe, and was detained for using a vape. The Russians emphasize that no one warned them about the ban. Local police noticed electronic cigarettes in the hands of the tourist, and delivered the Russians to the detention center, where they were held for a day and a half and were able to release only on bail.

The diplomatic mission of the Russian Federation notes that the use and storage of vapes in Thailand is prohibited. For violation of the rule, a fine of $ 30,000 or imprisonment for a ten-year term is threatened.
