Which countries spend the most money?
In 2016, travelers from China spent more money on foreign trips than tourists from other countries. The press service of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) reports that in 2016, tourists from China spent $ 261 billion on traveling abroad - this is 12% more than in 2015.
In second place in the ranking of travel expenses are US citizens, who spent $122 billion in tourist trips for twelve months (an increase of 8% compared to 2015). The top three are tourists from Germany ($81 billion, +5%). The top five countries of generous citizens include the UK and France ($64 billion and $41 billion, respectively).
A tourist from Russia in 2015 spent $ 35 billion in travel, and in 2016 - only $ 24 billion.
