All-inclusive tours to Turkey and Russia. What's cheaper?

ATOR analytical service has studied the average check for package tours to hotels 3*, 4* and 5* on the All Inclusive system in Turkey, Krasnodar Krai and Crimea.

The All Inclusive (Ultra All Inclusive) system is already becoming a traditional leader in demand among travelers from Russia who buy package tours on mass beach summer destinations.

The total share of search queries for summer tours to Turkey, with the type of power AI and UAI, is 87%. 93% of tourists in Turkey are looking for three meals a day and included drinks. In summer Turkey, the percentage of tours with such food schemes (AI and UAI) is even higher.

Residents of the Russian Federation are looking for travel to “all inclusive” and other foreign destinations. In April 2018, the total percentage of AI and UAI in the requests of users who search for tour packages in Tunisia is 82.3% (with FB and FB+ – 90.2%), Greece – 52.1% (68.2%), Bulgaria – 50.1% (68.5%), Cyprus – 43.1% (59.9%), UAE – 35% (54.5%), Spain – 31.9% (54.1%), Vietnam – 32.9% (52.1%) Thailand – 24.9% (43.2%).

At Russian beach resorts, the percentage of search for a recreation system is high. 34% of tourists are looking for package tours in Russia in June-August with AI and UAI.

The main factor when choosing a holiday in the summer for Russians is its total cost. All Inclusive and UAI, FB+, FB prefer families on a beach holiday because of the comfort, time and cost savings. These customers are now the majority in the overall outbound tourist flow.

Tourism destinations, which, in addition to climatic and cultural-historical factors, offer a developed All Inclusive system, gain a competitive advantage among mass domestic travelers.

The all-inclusive scheme has been operating in the Russian South in recent years – in the Krasnodar Territory and in the Crimea. 32 hotels have been opened in Kuban with AI and UAI system (less than 1% of the number of accommodation facilities in the region). A number of tour operators believe that there are more such accommodation facilities in the Kuban - some hoteliers use the blurring of the "borders" of the system, and sell various formats of FB and FB+, calling them "all inclusive".
In Crimea, you can book 15 hotel options with AI, but there are also more.

When studying the cost of tours to 5*, 4* and 3* hotels, it is noticeable that travel to 5* hotels in Turkey is much cheaper in Sochi and Crimea for the whole summer (the tour price is calculated for 10 nights with air travel from Moscow and back, 2 adults and 1 child over 2 years old).

The cost of the Crimean 4* AI reaches a maximum in July, the difference with the same Turkey in terms of stars and type of food during the peak season is 58%.
Russian “treshki” with All Inclusive win against Turkey in June at an average price – the difference in favor of Sochi – 26%, Crimea – 16%. In July, vouchers to Turkish hotels 3 * with "all inclusive" cheaper - by 10-12%, in August by 15-25%.

There are many hotels operating under AI and UAI schemes in Turkey, and the competition between them guarantees healthy pricing - from demand, not from costs. In Russia, there are fewer facilities, competition is small.

Turkey has a developed economic ecosystem to support this type of service, a well-established supply chain, a large number of suppliers and a thoughtful cycle of product use, making the food system cheaper.

Hoteliers of the Republic of Turkey invest in other parts of the infrastructure of All Inclusive - children's clubs, water parks, beaches - the country has established preferential lending and partial subsidies for projects by the state.

The price of air travel is also important: transportation to Turkey is lower than flights within Russia, since charters operate on the route and there are subsidies for tour operators and airlines.
