Prison for Czech tourists

In the small Czech town of Unichev, which is located in the Olomouc region, opened a non-standard museum: the city prison, which has not been restored since the end of the 19th century, opened for tourists. The exposition of the museum is devoted to the history of criminal law of Unichev. Much attention was paid to ancient instruments of torture. Now everyone can walk through the ancient cells, in which puppet prisoners spend their days. But the real prisoners left their mark, scratching numerous inscriptions on the oak doors. The museum restored even the gendarme site, as it was in the 19th century. It took about 17 million CZK to open the exhibition. Now the museum is open only on weekends, but from July its doors will be open daily, except Monday.
