Unique round-the-world tourist cruise started from London

Travel Daily Media reports that the 245-day journey on the Ultimate World Cruise route began last weekend.

The Viking Sun will sail from London to 6 continents, 51 countries and 111 ports. The unique cruise claims to get into the Guinness Book of Records, and will end in May 2020. There are currently 930 guests on board.

The journey will begin with exploring Scandinavia, then the Caribbean and the coast of South America. The next destination is the tropical islands of the South Pacific. Next, the voyage will pass through the coast of Australia and Asia, to the Mediterranean Sea and Europe.

According to Viking Cruise Company spokesman Thorstein Hagen, Ultimate World Cruise is an extensive route that is almost twice the size of the previous world cruise. According to him, circumnavigation is intended for travelers interested in history, art, music, cuisine, and is a “cruise of a thinking person” and an alternative to conventional cruises.

The full cost of the cruise starts from $ 81,000. The price includes excursions in each port, free Wi-Fi, transfers, drinks, all port fees, laundry, spa and fitness room. On the cruise, guests will be offered 23 overnight stays in different cities of the world and lectures on world history.

Now the title of the longest cruise in the world belongs to the 180-day journey “Around the world in 180 days” (Oceania). The first trip took place in 2017.
