The estate of Leo Tolstoy Yasnaya Polyana became an object of cultural heritage of federal significance. The order on this signed by the head of the government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev posted on the official Internet portal of legal information of the Cabinet.

"Attribute the identified object of cultural heritage "A remarkable place associated with the life and work of L.N. Tolstoy - the estate of Yasnaya Polyana and its environs, the first half of the XIX century - the beginning of the XX century," located in Shchekin and Leninsky districts of Tula region and Tula, to objects of cultural heritage of federal importance," the order says.

The Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation was also instructed to include Yasna Polyana in the unified state register of cultural heritage objects of the Russian Federation in the prescribed manner.
