Bulgaria asked not to increase the cost of visas for Russians

Representatives of the tourist business of Bulgaria ask the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country not to increase the cost of visas for Russians. They expressed their dissatisfaction at a round table held in Sofia. According to tour operators, all these innovations violate the European Visa Code. They also ask to deal with firms that provide intermediary services for obtaining visas to Bulgaria. Foreign Ministry officials promised to think. Recall that from April 16, the rules for obtaining visas were imposed for Russians. Now, instead of electronic media, they need to submit documents only in paper form. In addition, the cost of a visa for holidaymakers from Russia has also increased from 500 to 760 rubles. At the same time, all this was done without warning, that is, both tourists and workers of the tourist business were put before the fact. Tourists who have already issued tours will not have to pay extra, tour operators took over the costs of increasing the cost of visas for them, but those who are just going to Bulgaria will have to pay for visas at higher rates. Bulgaria is one of the most attractive countries for Russians.
