In December 2018, a bridge to Crimea will open
Work on half of the supports of the future Kerch bridge ended in May, this information was provided by the head of the FKU Uprdor Taman Roman Novikov. The bridge began construction in 2015, it should connect the Crimea with mainland Russia through the Kerch Strait.
The construction of the supports of the road part of the crossing has been almost completed, it will be put into operation a year before the railway. Supports under the road are planned to be fully built by the end of the year. At the end of next year, the movement of cars on the Kerch bridge will begin. The first trains will deliver tourists to the Russian Peninsula in a year, in December 2019.
