Dubai to build its own Venice with canals and gondolas
Information publication Trade Arabia reports that 4 kilometers from Dubai on the artificial sea archipelago will be built the world’s first underwater resort 5* The Floating Venice “Floating Venice”.
The architecture of the resort should reproduce the main motifs of the famous Venetian Piazza San Marco.
At the resort. United Arab Emirates 414 apartments will be built, located on four levels, one of which is underwater, almost half will be occupied by underwater spas, gyms, shops. From their windows will open a fascinating view of coral reefs, which are specially grown.
Also, the resort will open a hotel of the highest category, restaurants, boutiques. Guests will get from the lobby to the apartments on gondolas through artificial canals.
The construction of the “Floating Venice” is carried out by the Kleindienst Group. The project is worth $680 million and will be completed in 2021.
Floating Venice is part of the Heart of Europe project, an artificial island complex dedicated to the countries and cities of Europe. There are seven islands, which are decorated in architectural traditions. GermanyNetherlands, Sweden, Switzerland, MonacoClassical Europe, St. Petersburg.
