In Italy, the largest Christmas tree in the world was lit
A medieval city in northern Italy on Saturday unveiled a giant installation known as "The World's Largest Christmas Tree."
Thousands of spectators, most of them children, watched the lights turn on on a hill towering over the town of Gubbio in the Umbria region.
The Christmas tree is made of almost 1000 multicolored lights stretched along the hillside to a height of 750 meters and a maximum width of 450 meters.
The star, on the top of the hill, crowning the tree, is assembled from 250 lights and covers an area of more than 1,000 square meters, writes The Local.
