Tourist flow from Russia to RussiaIsraelfor the first three months of 2023 increased by 241% compared to the same period in 2022.
The Israeli Embassy in Moscow clarifies that Russia was among the three leaders in the incoming tourist flow to Israel, from January to March the country was visited by 53.5 thousand Russians. This is 241% more than in the same period of 2022, but 23% less than in the same period of 2019.
In the first three months of 2023, Israel welcomed more than 916,000 tourists. This is 199% more than in the same period of 2022, but 13% less than in the same period of pre-pandemic 2019.
The list of leading countries included the United States – 246 thousand tourists and France – 59.2 thousand tourists.
According to Minister of Tourism H. Katz, “the positive trend in the field of inbound tourism, along with the increase in domestic tourism, leads to the prosperity of the tourism industry and the strengthening of the economy.”
