In Koltsovo hospitalized tourists flight from Thailand

Passengers on Royal Flight RL-8553 began to complain of nausea and malaise during the flight.

 

Director for Strategic Communications of Koltsovo Airport A. Klymenskikh said that some of the passengers of flight RL-8572 from Utapao on arrival in Yekaterinburg asked the airport doctors to help them.

 

The department of Rospotrebnadzor of Yekaterinburg monitors the situation and reports that 5 people complained of deteriorating health, three were hospitalized with a diagnosis of acute intestinal infection. “For laboratory studies, in order to establish the causative agent of diseases, clinical material was selected from patients. All other passengers were released under medical supervision at the place of stay.”

 

The aircraft was disinfected, samples of onboard food made in Thailand were taken for study in the laboratory.

 

Due to the required disinfection actions, tourists who were going to fly to Phuket suffered - the airline's return flight to Thailand was postponed for 14 hours.
