In the Crimea announced the intention to withdraw from the experiment on the resort fee
The Republic of Crimea does not yet intend to introduce a resort fee on its territory. On June 23, Deputy Minister of Resorts and Tourism of the region Yulia Martynenko said.
At a working meeting of the State Duma Committee on Physical Culture, Sport, Tourism and Youth Affairs, Yulia Martynenko noted: “Given the current situation in Crimea, including the emergency situation, so far we do not intend to introduce a resort fee...”
Martynenko recalled that Crimea did not introduce a resort fee in 2017 together with other participants of the pilot project. Then the republic moved the implementation of the initiative to 2022.
Since our business is still operating under sanctions, and we are a young subsidized region, it was decided that we will not introduce this experiment for now.
