The Ministry of Foreign Affairs listed difficult states for Russian tourists
The most common problems Russian travelers meet in Turkey, Thailand and the Dominican Republic. Difficulties begin when Russians ignore the generally accepted norms of behavior in foreign tours. This information was provided by Vladimir Tarabrin, director of the Situational Crisis Center (SCC) of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
“The most frequent emergency situations occur in countries with a rich tourist flow: Thailand, Turkey, the Dominican Republic, Bulgaria, and India.” Mostly, we are talking about road accidents, thefts, robberies, accidents on the water, as well as accidents in the mountains – with climbers and skiers, – said the expert.
When traveling, travelers must adopt the laws of the host state and follow religious rules. “For example, when visiting mosques. Thailand recently banned e-cigarette smoking, but our citizens were detained for it anyway. A similar ban exists in Thailand for smoking cigarettes on beaches. Ignorance of this law can also lead to unpleasant stories, says Vladimir Tarabrin.
