In New York, there is a new tourist attraction – “Joker’s Staircase”

Cinema can create points of attraction for tourists. The film “Joker” caused pilgrimage of travelers to one of the areas American A metropolis that was considered “unfavorable.”

The film “Joker” was released on October 3, 2019, it tells the story of the charismatic comedian Joker.

One episode of the film was filmed in the Bronx, an area of New York that is not considered touristy, despite the zoo, botanical garden, baseball stadium. Joker performed by actor Joaquin Phoenix descends in a dance on a steep and narrow staircase between houses (Shakespeare and Andersen Avenue).

The scene turned out to be spectacular, and “provoked” the interest of imitators and tourists to the place where the main character danced.

The Bronx was not popular with tourists, and on social media travelers were warned to be careful on the stairs because of the ubiquitous pickpockets.

CNN reported that the reputation of the Bronx could change in a positive way due to the “new attraction”.

On Google Maps, the object was called “Joker’s Staircase”, and in Google search, as a tourist object, it belongs to the category of “cult attractions” of the metropolis.
