In Rome opened the “cross year” of tourism of Russia and Italy

The big Russian ball took place at Rome’s oldest hotel, the Sant Regis, on Saturday. This event officially opened the Cross Year of Tourism of Russia and Italy.
The Russian ball brought the guests of the solemn event to the atmosphere of the XIX century. It recreated the traditions of the imperial court, the music of Tchaikovsky and Glinka. Also at the ball appeared the famous heroines of the works of Leo Tolstoy: Anna Karenina and Natasha Rostov. At the initiative of the organizers of the ball, the Italian National Company of Historical Dance and the company Eventi Rome, a new Russian-Italian literary prize named after A. S. Pushkin was presented at it for the first time.
The Russian side is preparing the grand opening of the Cross Year of Tourism in Milan. There will be a concert of the Russian National Orchestra under the direction of Mikhail Pletnev on February 3.
