In Rome opened the largest Buddhist temple in Europe

On Sunday, March 31, the largest Buddhist temple in Europe was opened in Rome. More than a thousand people took part in the ceremony. The temple, built in the shape of a Chinese pagoda, will be served by four Taiwanese women. The temple is designed for 80 seats, it has a vegetarian dining room for 200 seats. According to one of the believers, the construction of the temple took 8 years, and construction work was periodically suspended due to bureaucratic delays. It is unclear who financed the construction of the Buddhist temple. According to some reports, we are talking about a private investor who donated money and wished to remain anonymous. The Buddhist temple is located on Omo Street, in the Prenestino district, by the largest ring road. In fact, it is a Roman industrial zone, which houses numerous wholesale consumer goods warehouses owned by Chinese immigrants. According to the organizers of the opening ceremony, the Buddhist temple, in addition to performing purely religious functions, should become a place of attraction for the large Chinese community.
