Paper passports will be abolished in Russia

Deputy Prime Minister Maxim Akimov said that since 2022, internal paper passports will not be issued.

In Moscow, the changes will begin next year - citizens of the capital will receive plastic cards with a photo instead of the current usual documents.

New passports will work on domestic software, in case of loss they can be blocked, falsification will also be impossible.
