The Russian authorities will have the opportunity to obtain information about a specific person, bypassing the tour operator, writes today “Rossiyskaya Gazeta”.

As explained by the press Secretary of the Federal Agency for tourism (Rosturizm) Irina Shchegolkova, providing information about the location abroad is voluntary and free of charge.

To register in the database, a Russian citizen just go to the website www.gosuslugi.ru and leave there information about his identity and place of stay, up to a specific hotel. On the Internet portal you can also get information about the situation in foreign countries, security threats.

The Ministry of Culture, which is now the main curator of the holiday, is sure that 2013 will be the year. It should be a breakthrough in the development of the industry in Russia. There are already ambitious plans to increase the number of tourists to the country, which will be achieved as part of the federal targeted program for the development of domestic and inbound tourism until 2018.
