In Russia, it is planned to create a national system of tourist trails. State Duma deputies have developed a bill aimed at ensuring the safety of travelers.
There are 1,754 tourist trails registered in the country, but in practice their number is much larger.
At the moment, there is no unified approach to the arrangement and management of these routes, which leads to the fact that travelers are often lost, which in turn can cause accidents. Information on the length, seasonality, state of routes and responsible organizations will be provided in open access. On the trails it is planned to install navigation systems and landscaping. These innovations are aimed at making hiking more accessible, convenient and safe.
