In Switzerland, there were trains with a car Starbucks
Switzerland has become the first country in the world whose trains include the branded Starbucks café car.
The joint pilot project of the American coffee chain and the Swiss railway company CFF starts today on the route Geneva - St. Gallen. The trains, whose rolling stock includes a double-decker Starbucks car, will run twice a day. The main goal of the partnership is to diversify the restaurant offer on railway flights and, as a result, to increase the total passenger traffic.
Now we can say with confidence that we are not just talking about Starbucks on wheels, but about a mini-revolution in the field of railway transportation: for the first time in history, a restaurant car took a third-party institution that has nothing to do with the carrier company. It is obvious that other railway operators of the world will sooner or later pick up such a promising idea.
