In Slovakia will be a travel company that organizes tours to the Crimea for EU citizens

In Slovakia, there will be a travel company that organizes tours to the Crimea for EU citizens. This was stated by the author of the idea, Slovak MP Peter Marchek.

Crimea welcomes the initiative, it will increase the interest of European travelers to the region.

The travel company intends to organize trips to the peninsula in the near future, and combined tours will be available, when tourists visit Moscow, St. Petersburg, and other Russian cities.

According to Marchek, lawyers are working on the implementation of the project so that the company’s work does not cause claims from Brussels and the Slovak authorities due to anti-Russian sanctions.

Janis Kuzins, a member of the International Association of Russian-speaking Lawyers, notes that “the European Union does not have a ban on visiting Crimea as such.” There are recommendations that the region should not be visited, since a visit to the peninsula may become a reason for a ban on entry to Ukraine. As for the activities of travel agencies, the booking of hotels and other issues related to the direct presence of foreigners in the Crimea can be answered by a partner company that will be registered in Russia. In addition, travel may be arranged as work visits.”

A visit to the peninsula will give Europeans the opportunity to get not only positive emotions from the trip, but also to look at the current situation in the world from the other side.

- People will be able to make sure that there is no one with automatic rifles, there is no oppression of national minorities or other repression against local residents, which, alas, is often reported by the European media. The peninsula lives an absolutely peaceful and peaceful life, sums up the Slovak MP.

Russia welcomes initiatives aimed at attracting foreign tourists.

According to the head of the peninsula Sergey Aksenov, in 2018, delegations and tourist groups from 144 countries visited the Crimea – this is a record of the post-Soviet period. He noted that “In the past five years, people from all over the world have visited the region. Among foreigners coming to Crimea, the largest share falls on citizens of Ukraine – about 1 million. About 10% of tourists came from Belarus last year. We are visited by guests from most EU countries, the USA, China, South Africa, Israel, Syria, Jordan and many others.

At the end of 2018, Crimea headed the top regions of Russia in terms of tourism growth.
