An underground Christmas market opened in Traben Trarbach

At the beginning of the XX century Traben-Trarbach was famous for winemaking. Since then, wine cellars have been preserved under the city, the total length of which is 22 km.

Eight such cellars will host the Christmas market, which will be held in the cellars weekly, from Friday to Sunday to January 8. Along with classic treats, wines will be presented at the fair. In addition, visitors will be invited to try wine from groundwater.

The Christmas market is not just in Germany. The largest is the fair in Valkenburg (Netherlands). This year the market will be open to visitors until December 23.
